Jumping the Queue

Matilda has decided to end her life, and carefully prepares a final picnic before making her exit. However, while waiting for the tide to turn she meets Hugh, a young man on the run from the police ... 

Matilda has postponed her plan to commit suicide, consumed as she now is with the urge to help fugitive Hugh Warner. She has gone to London to get his money, to enable him to flee abroad, but her neighbour Jonesy has discovered Hugh hiding away and recognised him immediately.
