Mammoth is about man of his time Tony Mammoth, a PE teacher who is presumed to have been killed in an avalanche on a school trip in 1979. When his body is discovered decades later in the present day, Mammoth is miraculously brought back from the dead and has to try and rebuild his life as a PE teacher in modern day Cardiff.

His previous traumatic experience spurs him on to get revenge on Terry by signing up to a rival over-70s football team. With the help of Roger, he gets fighting fit to be ready for his day of destiny. Meanwhile, Mel decides to quit her job and follow her 'dream' - becoming a professional potter.

Meanwhile, Mel isn't feeling it with Matthew, and Theo revels in his new bad-boy image.
