Big Ten Saturday Night

The Penn State Nittany Lions, Rose Bowl winners this past winter, host West Virginia at Beaver Stadium in the schools' 50th meeting, but first since 1992. The Nittany Lions and Mountaineers played 31 times between 1960-92.

From Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium in College Park, Md. The Terps defeated Towson, 38-6, last week as quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa – the brother of Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa – passed for 260 yards and totaled four touchdowns (three passing, one rushing). Maryland's defense limited Towson to 276 total yards. The Charlotte 49ers opened their season with a 24-3 win over South Carolina State last week.

The Purdue Boilermakers, winners of the Big Ten West division last season, host the Syracuse Orange. The teams played a thriller last September at Syracuse, combining for four lead changes and 42 points in the fourth quarter of a three-point Orange victory.

The No. 9 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (4-0) host the No. 6 Ohio State Buckeyes (3-0) in a primetime matchup of undefeated Top 10 teams from Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Ind.

B1G Saturday Night travels to Iowa City this week as Iowa hosts Michigan State from Kinnick Stadium.

Reigning Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams and No. 10 USC (6-0) visit Sam Hartman and No. 21 Notre Dame (5-2) as the Fighting Irish and the Trojans renew "the greatest intersectional rivalry" in college football in a top-25 primetime showdown.In a rivalry that dates back to 1926, the Fighting Irish hold the all-time series advantage over the Trojans, 50-38-5. Notre Dame has won four of the past five matchups, with USC topping the Fighting Irish, 38-27, last season (Nov. 26, 2022).

Quarterback J.J. McCarthy and the No. 2 Michigan Wolverines (7-0) visit the Michigan State Spartans (2-4), an in-state rivalry with the Paul Bunyan Trophy at stake, this weekend.Michigan currently holds the Paul Bunyan Trophy after defeating Michigan State, 29-7, last season and leads the all-time series, 72-38-5. The Wolverines enter the weekend on a 19-game conference winning streak, with their last Big Ten defeat coming at Spartan Stadium as Michigan State beat Michigan, 37-33, on Oct. 30, 2021.

The No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes (7-0) visit the Wisconsin Badgers (5-2) this weekend live from Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin.

The No. 9 Nittany Lions host the No. 19 Fighting Illini for a battle of Big Ten unbeatens. Penn State is averaging 41.3 points per game. Illinois seeks its first 5-0 start since 2011 after prevailing at then-No. 22 Nebraska 31-24 in overtime.

No. 10 Michigan Wolverines (4-1) visiting the Washington Huskies (3-2) from Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium in Seattle, Washington.

From Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Ore. The No. 3 Ducks (5-0, 2-0 Big Ten) host the No. 2 Buckeyes (5-0, 2-0). In the last meeting in 2021, Oregon avenged a 2015 title game loss to Ohio State by winning 35-28. Ohio State leads the nation with only 6.8 points allowed per game this season.

The Hawkeyes (4-2, 2-1 Big Ten) try for their third consecutive victory over the Spartans (3-3, 1-2). Iowa junior Kaleb Johnson is second in the country with 937 rushing yards after collecting 166 in a 40-16 victory over Washington last week.

From Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wis. The No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions (6-0) visit the Wisconsin Badgers (5-2). In the 21st meeting between the schools, Penn State looks for its sixth consecutive victory against the Badgers. 

The Hawkeyes (5-3, 3-2) and Badgers (5-3, 3-2) jockey for Big Ten positioning. Wisconsin's three-game winning streak was snapped by No. 3 Penn State 28-13 on Oct. 26. Iowa is 4-1 at Kinnick Stadium this year, and has won two in a row over Wisconsin.

From Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wis. Heisman hopeful quarterback Dillon Gabriel and the No. 1 Oregon Ducks visit the Wisconsin Badgers.  

This week's Big Ten Saturday Night matchup features the 11-0 Oregon Ducks – the only remaining undefeated team in the FBS - hosting the Washington Huskies from Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Ore. Washington leads the all-time series over Oregon, 63-48-5 and looks to extend its winning streak over the Ducks to four games.

Matt Rhule's Cornhuskers dress up in all-black alternate uniforms in looking to contain the top-ranked USC offense (530 ypg) piloted by QB Jayden Maiva. The UNLV transfer threw 3 TDs and ran for the clincher in last year's 28-20 win, upping the Trojans' all-time series edge on Nebraska to 5-0-1.

The Associated Press-ranked No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes (9-0) host the UCLA Bruins (3-6) from Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.This will be the first matchup between UCLA and Ohio State since Sept. 22, 2001, when the Bruins defeated the Buckeyes, 13-6, at the Rose Bowl. This will also be the first matchup between the two teams at Ohio Stadium since 1999, which the Buckeyes won, 42-20.
