Radio 2's Piano Room

The Radio 2 Piano Room opens its doors again to the world's biggest artists. A glittering cast of performers are invited to BBC Maida Vale Studios to record piano versions of their best-loved hits and pay homage to their favourite records with spell-binding cover versions, all backed by BBC Concert Orchestra.A mainstay on Ken Bruce's Radio 2 mid-morning show, it now comes to BBC Two. Expect classic tracks from the likes of Craig David, Sigrid, Paolo Nutini and Michael Bublé, plus breathtaking cover versions including Sam Smith performing Des'ree, Olly Murs honouring Coldplay, and Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott bringing us a George Ezra hit.

The Glasgow band join the BBC Concert Orchestra for an extended TV special of their Radio 2 Piano Room, performing new orchestral versions of their hits. There are stripped back versions of classics such as Halo, sweeping takes of songs like Black Eyed Boy, special disco string arrangements on tracks like Mr Haze, plus an cover of Charles and Eddie's Would I Lie to You? Vernon Kay presents.

Coldplay, one of the world's most iconic bands, take centre stage in Radio 2's Piano Room at Maida Vale for a very special performance, launching the highly anticipated Piano Room.

With the BBC Concert Orchestra, each Piano Room artist performs a cover of their choice, spanning some of pop's greatest hits.
