CBeebies Prom

CBeebies join the BBC Philharmonic to host the first ever CBeebies Prom.

CBeebies favourites take a musical journey through the countryside, around the world, back in time and into space with the BBC Concert Orchestra and conductor Jessica Cottis. Enjoy inspirational classical pieces and CBeebies themes while joining in with Andy, Cat, Chris, Gem, Rebecca, Mr Bloom and Mr William Shakespeare at the Royal Albert Hall. 

Music and magic with Something Special at the Proms. Justin Fletcher and his new friends, Hamza and Frankie, visit the Royal Albert Hall for an amazing, musical day out. Following on from the incredibly popular CBeebies Proms, the much loved series of Something Special is at the Proms this summer for a one-off programme, transmission to coincide with the iconic Last Night of the Proms. This summer, BBC Proms staged their second relaxed Prom at the Royal Albert Hall, with music performed by the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, creating an ideal opportunity for Justin and Something Special to be part of the audience. Learning Makaton music signs, hearing fantastic music and spending a day at the Royal Albert Hall with Justin, the Something Special children will now share their incredible day with the CBeebies audience as they become Something Special stars. Of course, Mr Tumble will have his part to play too! What can possibly go wrong when Mr Tumble helps the orchestra unload their instruments? And imagine Mr Tumble's delight as he learns the instruments of the orchestra - with advice and a little bit of help from Grandad Tumble, Mr Tumble is determined to be the best musician in the world!

To celebrate 50 years since the first astronauts walked on the moon, join the CBeebies Prommers for this third CBeebies Prom, which sees them taking a musical journey to the moon. Featuring music performed by the orchestra Chineke! conducted by Kwamé Ryan, with additional performances by the Chineke! Junior Orchestra and the first ever CBeebies Proms Choir, the preschool audience can hear pieces by composers such as Handel, Puccini, John Adams, Benjamin Britten and Jessie Montgomery as well as the world premiere of Hans Zimmer's new work, Earth. With specially made pieces of animation from some of CBeebies' most popular shows such as Clangers, Go Jetters and Moon and Me, an interactive song inspired by Neil Armstrong and special Nasa archive footage from the moon landing itself, join some of CBeebies's favourite presenters as they take you on a musical voyage to the stars. 

Join CBeebies for an ocean adventure travelling the musical world in the Royal Albert Hall submarine to find endangered creatures and tackle tricky environmental problems. Andy, Chantelle, Jen, Maddie, Nigel and Rory are on board RA Sub with a marvellous musical crew, the Southbank Sinfonia, led by captain and conductor Kwamé Ryan.

CBeebies Prommers, you are invited to join Duggee, the Squirrels, a myriad of creatures and lots of your CBeebies friends including Bluey and the Octonauts at the Royal Albert Hall to celebrate the natural world. Andy, Jen, Chantelle, Maddie, Rhys and conductor Kwamé are planning the biggest jamboree with the most unusual wildlife guests. With Dodge in charge of the invitations, no-one is sure what will happen or who will arrive. On stage are conductor Kwamé and the orchestra, the Sinfonia Smith Square. They are joined by the CBeebies East London Schools' Choir. 

The ever-enthusiastic Story Fairy, played by Lydia Kirton, arrives at the iconic Royal Albert Hall on her trusty scooter - flying felt too risky with the all-important CBeebies Bedtime Stories book in tow. But despite her efforts, there's one big problem: the story inside the book has completely vanished! With impatient guest storyteller Joel Dommett waiting to read, an eager audience to please and her magical wand's battery running low, the Story Fairy must do everything within her powers to find the lost story.
