Here We Go follows the highs and lows of the Jessop family as they navigate a combination of life's everyday challenges – changing careers, keeping the romance alive within a marriage, adopting a healthier lifestyle, kidnapping a dog, destroying a swimming pool and sabotaging a wedding.Having filmed his family's disastrous attempt to carve out a holiday in the midst of the pandemic in the 2020 pilot episode, the series sees youngest son Sam continue to document the Jessop family across the year. Moving back and forward in time, each episode offers an intimate, observed and absurd exposé of a modern British family doing its best to support each other, if accidentally annoying everyone else in the process.

When Rachel receives a family pass to Jungle World adventure park as a birthday present from Paul, to be redeemed anytime in the next six months, the family start excitedly planning their big day out.However, as work and home pressures heighten over the course of the year, the Jessops only remember to use Rachel's voucher on the final day that it's valid. Racing against the clock to get to the park before it closes, with an uncooperative dog that Sue is looking after for a neighbour in tow, will the Jessops snatch victory from the jaws of defeat and give Rachel the birthday day out she so badly needs?

As she helps her to prepare for an upcoming interview, Rachel realises the interview will be with one of her old classmates.But when Rachel's attempts to butter up her school friend go awry, it's down to Paul to salvage some family dignity at the local school sports day, where he has offered to give out the prizes (and promote his new YouTube channel). However his new fitness drive has pushed his body to the limit...

Dad's Old Boat

Who knows, it might cheer Amy up a bit. Meanwhile, Rachel is keen to convince her new classmates that, despite being literally twice their age, she's one of them. She's planning to do this via the traditional art of the student drinking game.

Granny's Street Fayre

It's going to be slaps. Meanwhile, aspiring copper Paul tries to solve a disgusting crime.

Amy's Valentine's Flowers

And Robin's gearing himself up to propose to Cherry, if he can come up with a suitably grand romantic gesture.

Robin's Best Man

So begins Rachel's attempt at throwing Robin and Cherry what is billed as the best hag do on earth.

It seems unlikely that everyone is going to get what they are hoping for from the holiday, especially given that the swimming pool is out of order.
