Growing Pains
As Bree and Reed struggle to get through an intimate scene on camera, Hannah and Gordon each hire their own writers, causing paralysis in the writers room. Meanwhile Clay tries to end an awkward relationship at work before it blows up in his face.

Reed entangles himself in Bree's personal life, as she awakens to the modern world. Hannah realizes Gordon doesn't know she's a lesbian. Zack and Elaine have an awkward business breakfast that turns into a meet-cute.

Gordon and Reed work through their past issues while Clay helps Bree out of a jam, and Hannah supports Zack as he tries to regain custody of a dog he shared with his ex-girlfriend.

Bree pulls Reed into their old game of creating elaborate backstories for eccentric-looking strangers. Gordon enlists the writers to help Hannah get together with a woman she likes. Clay tries to make amends with Jerry. Zack wants to ask out a co-worker.

Hannah and Gordon try to manage Bree's ego in the writers' room, Clay almost loses his mind trying to get his lines right during looping, and Reed joins Zack for a basketball game against some unexpected opponents.Â

Bree gets hit with surprising news during an on camera interview just as Reed gets a surprise visitor. Clay struggles with buying a house. Hannah and Gordon learn that there's been a regime change at Hulu that does not bode well for the show.
