Two years after having bariatric surgery, Sharon Hill, Britain's biggest woman, continues to battle her demons around food. Can she face the risk of a second round under the knife?

Claire has been bed-bound for the last six years. Trapped by her 40-stone body, she can only see the world through the window of the room where she spends her life. Claire has two daughters - Tracey and Jasmine - who need to do nearly everything for her.

Andrew is married to Sharon. Four years ago Sharon got her weight down from 48 stone to 30 stone and started to have a life again. In a bizarre reversal of fortunes, it is now Andrew who needs help after his weight ballooned to 36 stone. He's been forced to give up his job and even personal care is a daily struggle. Andrew feels like his life has come to a halt. Sharon feels she is being dragged backward. Their relationship is in tatters and Sharon's dream of having a child seems further away than ever. Emily puts herself in the hands of a top bariatric surgeon, but also seeks the services of a behavioural psychologist in a bid to understand what is driving her compulsive behaviour. Will Emily find the inner strength she needs to help herself?

Twenty-three-year-old AJ is Airdrie and has been mostly shut in for the last six years and is now barely able to move, having to rely on mum Sharon for all aspects of care. They consult bariatric surgeon Professor Kerrigan, who declines to offer surgery until both AJ and Sharon make some major changes to their diet and lifestyle, including specialist psychological help so they can better understand their experiences.

This episode features mum-of-three Samantha, who feels that her issues with food and her weight have made her life intolerable. Samantha feels too ashamed to go out, leaving the responsibilities of family life to her husband Keith. She also experiences severe headaches caused by intercranial hypertension. But with a grandchild on the way, Samantha is determined to break old habits and change her life.
