Paul meets Bert, a big, bouncy Great Dane puppy and immediately falls in love with the gentle giant, but fears arise when he discovers that Bert's front legs have developed elbow dysplasia.

Paul O'Grady returns to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home to meet more canine residents in need of a new home in this award-winning programme. First to pull on Paul's heartstrings is Spencer the stray beagle, who is consigned to quarantine with a contagious virus. He also meets Lydia the Hungarian puli, a heavily dreadlocked rare pedigree who is suffering in the hot summer heat. Finally, he takes Tintin the tearaway yorkie on a trip to the hairdressers.

In today's episode, Paul's on hand to help out three dogs all in need of some companionship. First up, he meets the excitable 10-month-old mongrel, Blake, who loves nothing more than playing with his toys. But Paul quickly realises Blake's sight isn't as it should be and the clinic confirm his worst fears. So Paul is giving the challenge of finding Blake a suitable friend who can act as his guide dog - so à la ‘Blind Date', he finds three possible candidates. However, will any be suitable?Also in need of some company is Jacko the Jack Russell, who's been feeling down in the dumps since he arrived at Battersea. Paul does his best to cheer him up, but struggling to make much headway, he introduces mopey Jacko to some relaxing pongs - but will a course of daily boudoir balms do the trick and blow away Jacko's blues?The last dog in need of a friend is Forest, a 14-week-old Saluki, who's all lonesome as he's having to spend time in quarantine due to an infectious tummy bug. Being just a puppy, very cute Forest is desperate for someone to play with. But with physical contact not allowed, can Paul come up with an innovative plan to try and keep him entertained until he's better?

He sets to work trying to get this heartbreaker back on her feet as he nurses her through numerous treatments - but will Willow manage to overcome her long list of problems?Paul also meets enthusiastic Bud the record-breaking Collie Greyhound cross. Sadly for Bud though, he holds Battersea's most unwanted record - he is their longest resident having been at the kennels for over two years! Bud is a real softie but his Achilles heel is his boundless energy - he is full of life and so in need of a very specific type of owner who can cater for his energetic demands! Paul arranges for Bud to enter a doggie fun run where he'll be on show to lots of like-minded, athletic dog lovers - will he catch somebody's eye and finally end his marathon stay in kennels?Finally Paul takes on the role of doggie masseur to Jenson the staffie, who suffered accidental permanent scarring on his back that has left his skin dry and itchy. This uncomfortable problem has left Jenson struggling with kennel life, so Paul tries to alleviate his blues by putting his magic hands to work moisturising Jenson's back to try and make his skin silky smooth - will the spa treatment work in cheering up Jenson?

In today's episode, Paul's in puppy heaven as he meets a litter of 10 adorable newborn Staffie cross pups and their mum Luna. Paul has the enviable task of helping to socialise these little beauties who, like their mum, have all been given celestial names. But before Paul can help ween them, events take a turn when Aries, his favourite, worryingly falls sick along with her siblings Mars and Saturn. Paul rushes to Intensive Care to help nurse the poorly pups - but as they're so small and vulnerable, will they be strong enough to pull through?And not content with just 10 puppies, Paul also tries to get to grips with fiesty Collie pup Tilly who's just arrived into Lost and Found. But the energetic tyke proves to be a real handful so Paul enlists the help of 13-year dog lover Paige, who's at Battersea with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, to help get Tilly on the straight and narrow. And it's not long before Paige is showing up Paul by getting Tilly under control and teaching her a few basic commands - is she going to put Paul out of a job?!And not wanting to forget the golden oldies, Paul also meets decepit pensioner Tiny the 16-year old Yorkie. This old timer might be doddery on his pins, but he's still got plenty of life left in him and Paul quickly for the charms of this cantankerous senior citizen. But the medical team are worried his arthirtis might be getting too much for him and not only that, who is really going to want to rehome such an old dog?

In today's episode, Paul needs a clothes peg for his nose as he meets Battersea smelliest dog, Max the setter cross. The poor mutt absolutely stinks and although he's a real charmer, he's struggling to make any mates, either human or canine! To get to the bottom of his antisocial problem, Paul takes Max down to clinic, where he finds out his off-putting smell all stems from a chronic ear problem - but is there anything that can be done to help him start smelling daisy fresh? If not, he's going to struggle to find a new home…

It's the final episode of the series, and today's dogs are all in need of an O'Grady shoulder to lean on. First up Paul meets the implausibly cute Dudley, an Old English Sheepdog who is just six-weeks old and looks like a fluffy teddy bear. Old English Sheepdogs rarely come into Battersea, but Dudley's an exception because the little guy is profoundly deaf, which means puppy training is proving tricky. So Paul sets to work trying to teach Dudley doggie sign language, but it proves not to be the easiest assignment as the pup is more interested in playing than learning.

In episode one we meet a litter of Dalmatian pups, a supersized Shar Pei cross who needs to get down to the gym and a gorgeous Yorkie with a serious body odour problem.

In episode two, Paul meets a day old puppy who has been rejected by her mum, a Jack Russell who is only using three of his legs and a terrified mongrel who was left tied up outside Battersea.

This week, Paul helps out with dogs who have a variety of issues. He meets a pair of geriatric labradors who can't bare to be apart for one second, a staffy who hates being left along and a tiny puppy with an anti social behaviour problem. Can Paul and the team turn him into an upstanding canine citizen - or is he a lost cause?

This week at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, Paul O'Grady helps a Staffordshire bull terrier who is four times the size she should be to lose some weight. He also meets a French bulldog who has been crippled by greedy breeders and a puggle called Bruce who is terrified of the world.

Paul O'Grady and the team use an unconventional technique to calm down an overexcited mongrel this week at Battersea. Paul also meets a young German shepherd cross with some hidden health problems and a shihtzu pug cross who needs cheering up after being brought in because his elderly owner couldn't look after him any more.

Paul meets some more weird and wonderful hounds at Battersea this week including a ginormous bull mastiff who is the king of slobber and has some very particular diva demands. He also meets a pair of chihuahua pug crosses with a strange family dynamic and a very unusual looking mongrel called Milly who's very shy. Can Paul bring her out of her shell?

This week Paul O'Grady meets dogs who need some serious TLC. There's an unusual looking staffy cross who doesn't seem to be able to catch the eye of a new owner, an English bulldog who needs airway surgery to help her breathe and the team are worried about a german shepherd who's struggling to keep her food down.

Paul O'Grady's got his work cut out this week at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home when he helps to train an overexcited beagle who might just be the world's worst sniffer dog. He also meets a toy poodle and a pug who came in to Battersea as a pair but could be better off finding new homes separately and a cockapoo who might end up at his house, whether he likes it or not!

In the first episode, Paul meets an abandoned street dog pup with a potentially fatal virus and an adorable golden retriever who will not stop chewing her paw. He also rolls up his sleeves like never before as he rescues a litter of puppies that were born in the grounds of the beautiful Lodhi Gardens from almost certain death.

It's Paul's second week in the heart of Delhi and he meets an abandoned young street pup called Toto, whose ears are badly infected. Toto's ears were so red raw when he arrived that the hair on them might never grow back and he is in desperate need of some TLC. Meanwhile, Friendicoes canine behaviourist Pia attempts to train a boisterous Labrador who can't currently be rehomed because of his behaviour. He was abandoned in the park behind the shelter and proves to be quite a handful. Can Paul work his magic with the naughtiest dog in Delhi?

Paul helps a traumatised dog that desperately needs to find a home, and joins Delhi's vets once more as they go out and about to treat injured street dogs. However, the pooches are not the only ones needing medical attention when the presenter falls ill

In week four of Paul O'Grady's canine Indian adventure, he helps a traumatised pup make some new friends, celebrates Diwali and gives a spa treatment to the daddy of the dogs' shelter, an 11-year-old black Labrador he wants to take home. Also in the programme, medics rush to rescue a four-week-old street pup who may have been hit by a car. Luckily, the puppy has no broken bones but she's been left feeling very anxious and nervous. Paul names her Beauty and takes her out and about to see if she is ready to go back on the streets once she's healed.

In episode one Paul meets a Dachshund mum and her pups, whom Battersea staff suspect has escaped from a puppy farm. Also this week, Paul meets Felicity, an elderly 14-year-old Yorkshire Terrier found wandering the streets by a member of the public. Felicity is 98 in human years and needs some familiar surroundings. To lift her mood, Paul tries a Dame Vera Lynn singsong followed by some trusted daytime TV. Felicity brightens as the pair settle down to watch Judge Rinder together.

This week at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, Paul O'Grady attempts to nurse back to health the most badly injured dog he has ever seen, a saluki. As part of his rehabilitation, Paul takes him to a retirement home where the dog is showered with some much-needed love. Meanwhile, Paul tries to find a home for an elderly, dentally-challenged Shih Tzu, and he is also faced with the prospect of de-fleaing a Yorkshire terrier puppy who was found as a stray.

Paul O'Grady meets Florence, a pug-terrier cross who's been badly injured in a car accident. While out helping with her rehabilitation, Paul bumps into Jennifer Saunders, one of Battersea's famous volunteers. Like Paul, she struggles to fight the urge to adopt all the dogs, including a nine-week-old spaniel pup called George. Paul also meets Spike, a ten-month-old English bull dog who is full of energy but has to stay indoors because he's recovering from airway surgery.

Paul O'Grady gets into full protective clothing to meet Humphrey, an 11 week old Bedlington Terrier who is suffering from ringworm. As Paul helps with his treatments, including medicated baths, his head is turned by the small pup who is struggling to stop scratching himself. Someone who turns up at Battersea with a luscious coat of fur is Buddy, a six month old Golden Retriever who was found tied to a railing on the street outside and is in need of some serious training.

In episode five Paul meets a mail order poodle bred to be the size of a teacup, a two-year-old Dogue de Bordeaux who it appears has been living in a cage and a high-energy Staffie who keeps being returned. Next, Paul meets Charlie the miniature teacup poodle who weighs the same as a kitten. Charlie was bought online and shipped to the UK for training but she hurt herself and was taken to Battersea. Finally, Paul meets Maggie, a Dogue de Bordeaux who is only two-years-old but has already given birth to at least two litters of puppies.

This week, Paul O'Grady helps to train a pomeranian puppy called Stormy who has landed in Battersea at only 9 weeks old, which is a crucial stage in a dog's development. He also meets a french bulldog called Spudnik who desperately needs surgery to open his airways but he refuses to go under anaesthetic. Paul and the team need to get him used to being handled so he can have his operation and get a new home.

Paul O'Grady meets a 10-week-old gender-neutral collie who's been rejected by their mother. He also helps to find a home for a mongrel called Hope who's been at Battersea for over 300 days and is struggling to catch the eye of a new owner. Plus, Paul's got his work cut out when a family of nine whippets arrive on site, including some three-week-old puppies in need of some O'Grady cuddles.

Paul O'Grady helps rehabilitate a mastiff cross called Maisie who's had surgery on her elbow. He pulls out all the stops, from taking her for hydrotherapy to finding her a boyfriend to encourage her to go on walks. He also needs to cheer up a heartbroken staffie who is struggling with life in the kennels having been dumped at the Battersea gates. There's also a huge arrival of 19 dogs who turn up, unexpectedly, needing temporary accommodation who Paul needs to help settle in.

In episode one, Paul's babysitting duties are required, for some adorable Staffie pups born at Battersea eight weeks previously. Their mum was brought in after being found roaming the streets, heavily pregnant. Sadly she rejected the pups so Charlotte, Onion, Delilah, Gary, Waffle, Mary and Hippo have all been hand-reared by the staff at Battersea. Paul is confident the angelic pups will be no trouble at all, until he meets them…

In episode two, Paul meets some very special dogs who need to go to unconventional homes. 10-month-old Marti has been brought in to Battersea twice for being a bit lively, but Paul realises he's very clever and thinks he has some star potential and could possibly become an acting dog.Paul helps to train Peaches and Macey, a pair of highly intelligent spaniel sisters who might be able to make it as sniffer dogs with Border Force at Heathrow airport.Paul also helps to soothe a beautiful pointer cross who's had a very hard life. An X-ray reveals the poor girl must have been shot at in the past as the pellets are still in her skin.

In episode three, Paul goes rogue when he's asked to help bottlefeed a pair of week-old kittens whose mother had abandoned them. He falls head over heels for them but as they grow older the team discover one of them has a neurological problem affecting his movement. Paul helps to socialise a gang of dogs who arrive from a puppy farm where they were used for breeding. The dogs have had very little human interaction so they need to learn how to be dogs, from scratch. Paul also meets a tearaway labradoodle pup who ends up going to a very glamorous home.

In episode four Paul meets a nine-month-old terrier called Roo who is far too young to have puppies but was found roaming the streets heavily pregnant. A Saluki cross arrives at Battersea after being found dumped with a terrible case of mange and a bad wound in her leg. It's touch and go whether she'll make it but Paul's on hand to help nurse her back to health. Paul also meets a gorgeous three-month-old pug puppy called Pancake, who's having problems with his vision, but won't let anything get him down.

In episode five Paul falls in love with an Akita who doesn't seem to know he's an Akita. Normally they're aloof and standoffish, but Samson's like a giant teddy bear. The vet team just need to work out what's wrong with his injured nose. Paul helps an ex-racing greyhound, who's spent most of his time in kennels, get ready for life in a domestic home. He also meets a dog called Hugo who's been down on his luck, but could end up being adopted by the family who own his brother.

In episode six, Paul meets the most unusual looking dog he's ever seen. Boo, the albino Pekingese is riddled with health problems which make him harder to rehome. He needs an operation on his eye otherwise he might end up losing it. Paul helps to soothe Splash, a dog who was rescued from a near death experience in the Thames and is now feeling understandably nervous. Paul also meets Norah, a Labrador pup who wasn't vaccinated and has arrived with a mystery lurgy.

In episode seven, Paul meets an agoraphobic Staffy cross who is too scared to even go outside for a wee. Paul needs to think outside the box reassure Barry otherwise he'll never find a home. When an usually quiet chihuahua arrives, Paul suspects she could be down in the dumps because she's got a limp and might be in pain. Paul also meets a gang of four Japanese Chin crosses who've had a bit of a family tiff and need to be separated.

In the final episode of the series, the comedian meets a Pyrenean mountain dog that has a problem with its bladder. Elsewhere, a dog suffering from skin problems needs surgery on its eyes, and Paul also helps a West Highland white terrier that is almost twice the weight it should be get into shape.

In episode one, Paul meets two Maltese Terrier puppies who staff suspect may have come from a puppy farm in Romania, having been sold to a family in the UK for an eye-watering £4000. They were brought into Battersea after the family struggled to cope with looking after them.Paul also meets a three-month-old Spaniel-cross who was taken to the Brands Hatch branch of Battersea by his owners. He is covered head-to-toe in mites and staff believe he might also be the result of puppy farming.

In episode two, Paul meets a dog that won't go near people, a dog that won't go for a walk and a dog who has been at Battersea for five months because she just won't calm down.Staffie-cross Roxi is five years old but has the energy of a puppy. After attempting to take her on her daily walk, Paul says: "You need roller-skates on, you go 90 miles an hour!"Paul tries some dog massage on Roxi to see if she will calm down long enough to meet a potential new owner…Also this week, Paul meets Floyd, a rare West African Azawakh who is just a year old and very subdued and unhappy.  Paul gently tries to communicate with him through the bars of his kennel, but Floyd walks the other way. Not one to give up lightly, Paul is determined to lift his spirits:"He is a beautiful dog isn't he? Floyd, come on fella…You're such a good boy. Shall we be pals? Shall we?"

This week at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, Paul O'Grady trains a lively beagle cross pup, and spends the day keeping a bichon company who's used to a busy home.Plus, he helps a shell shocked old staffy who was left tied to the gates and subsequently gets caught up in an outbreak of parvo virus which all the Battersea staff battle to contain.

Paul O'Grady returns this week to help a blind Bichon cope in her world of darkness. Paul also becomes captivated by a mystical, bald, rare breed of cat… and shows a cockapoo in distress to de-stress with the help of essential oils.

Things don't go to plan for Paul. He meets an eight-year-old shi tzu with an extreme case of bladder stones – resulting in major life changing surgery, a samoyed with an horrifically matted coat and a feisty chihuahua who is not falling for Paul's charms.

This week Paul O'Grady struggles to help an excitable dog to calm down long enough for his leg break to heal. He matches two lonely rescue dogs, but the path of true love does not run smoothly.

This time, the comedian helps a poodle overcome separation anxiety, meets a plummer terrier with extreme guarding issues, and he falls for a young, smelly bulldog with a bad case of cherry eye.

Paul helps a chihuahua-pug cross who's returned to Battersea for a second time after her owner passed away. He also meets a lovable bulldog called Donald with a long list of ailments that need medical attention, and helps two neglected stray boxers who need to learn to be dogs again.

Paul meets a six-year-old stray pug called Mildred with a long list of ailments including a terrible case of sarcoptic mites, a 10-month-old golden retriever called Patrick who's had a double hip replacement and is desperate to play again, and 11 rare blue whippet puppies about to embark on their new lives.

This week Pauls meets an over-excitable bulldog called Bruce with breathing issues, he also helps to socialise a nervous stray saluki called Bambi and he falls head over heels for stray dachshund called Sausage, but will Paul be able to resist?

In the last episode of the series, Paul meets a cockapoo pup with tummy troubles, he helps a four-year-old Chinese crested dog called Cindy with sore and itchy skin and he also meets a 13-year-old teacup Yorkie called Flossie who's virtually blind, full of lumps and fighting all the odds to survive.

This week Paul falls head over heels with a gorgeous Newfoundland who needs major life changing surgery on her back legs. He meets a lab cross who's totally obsessed with water and keeps flooding her kennel, and helps a terrified bichon frise, who was found wandering around a forest, become less scared of the world.

This week at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, Paul O'Grady helps babysit a group of gorgeous spaniel puppies and tries to resist taking one home with him. He meets a doberman pup with bowed legs who needs to get her biting under control before she can start her physio regime, and he throws a party for a feisty old stray who missed his 100th birthday.

Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is absolutely full of spaniels. Most of them are full of energy, but Paul meets one who was found tied up and has lost all hope. Paul needs to help rebuild his trust in humans. He meets a feisty shorkie with a Spanish chip and a worryingly large lump and a yappy patterdale who needs to learn some manners if he'll ever find a home. There's also a very special visitor to Battesea… comedian Harry Hill.

A lurcher arrives at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home with a terrible injury in need of urgent surgery. Plus, Motherland stars Anna Maxwell Martin and Diane Morgan help Paul with a cavalier King Charles spaniel, and calm down an over excited Frenchie pup.

Paul and the team are left baffled by a mystery illness which is making a young lurcher pup desperately ill. He also meets a gorgeous Staffie who is too scared to leave her kennel. Paul uses every trick up his sleeve to try and coax her out into the big wide world. And he meets a tiny old Yorkie, with awful breath, who needs a bit of a makeover.

Paul meets some beautiful dogs who are all still struggling to find a home - two of the dogs have already been returned to Battersea once, and they just don't seem cut out for normal homes as they're so boisterous. Paul tries his best to help them find working homes, but will they make the cut?

Paul has his work cut out this time at Battersea as he meets an elderly Chihuahua with no end of ailments. He also helps a dangerously overweight beagle-basset hound cross lose some serious weight and tries to bring a nervous Labrador cross out of his shell over at Old Windsor.

The presenter goes rogue when he's asked to help bottle-feed a pair of week-old kittens who were found abandoned on a building site - and he discovers that not everything is as they seem with these two bundles of fur. Paul and Battersea Head Vet Shaun also visit one of the few homeless shelters in the country to accept dogs.

Alison helps as Nelly has her eye medication before giving her a much-needed cuddle ahead of an impending operation.Alison then heads out to the paddocks to meet a spaniel-terrier cross who has lots of energy and is hoping to get a job as a sniffer dog.

This week, she meets a lurcher who was found tied up in a cemetery who is in need of emergency surgery, a stressed out French bulldog who's struggling to breathe, and a very matted Bichon Frisé who's desperately in need of a haircut.

A pair of sighthounds learn how to stand on their own four feet and a shar pei with a painful eye condition is in serious need of a surgical facelift. Alison does some sound training with a litter of three-week-old jack russell puppies to prepare them for their new lives as pets.

Writer Katie Piper drops into Battersea to check out a litter of puppies abandoned with their mother and a homesick bichon frise gets a kennel makeover. Turkish kangal Minnie needs help conquering her fear of weighing scales.
