Small-time solicitor Harry Venn is forced to revisit his murky past when he is approached by a mysterious and glamorous lawyer, Gina Hawkes, looking for a missing alibi witness for her client. Harry quickly finds himself plunged into a deep and dangerous conspiracy.

With Harry's office blown to pieces, he is determined to find out who tried to kill him. Unable to get any answers from the elusive Gina, he follows her to Paris, where he comes face-to-face with the men who want him dead.

Harry returns from Paris in a desperate attempt to figure out who he can trust and how he can save himself. But when he goes back to the place where it all started twenty years ago, he is forced to confront his past head-on.

As Harry and Gina get closer to putting the pieces of the puzzle together, could it be that his brother Mark holds the key to the mystery? Harry has to decide whether he is prepared to put everything on the line in a nail-biting climax.
